The Forest

The first thing I noticed when seeing this wall was the scale. It's a big one. Pipes covered the back of the building like vines. My solution was to camouflage the vertical elements into a forest. I paid special attention to the changes of the surface. Lines distort to hide recessed or protruding areas. The color is inspired by the sky that burned orange at the time due to wildfires. The animals are haunting reminders of our own survival.

Metamorphosis

What was blighted is now fresh and alive, full of color, a portal to a new imagined place. It is surreal as an artist to be part of this metamorphosis. I do not understand where artistic inspiration comes from. It is wild how we have a seed of thought that then manifests it into reality. I am thankful for the opportunity.
