Andrew Linskens is an influential multidisciplinary artist based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. His work is inspired by scientific observations, Midwestern aesthetics, and pop culture. Linskens journey started in meteorology where he forecast the weather in Tampa, Florida. He later received his BFA from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay where he worked in sculptural ceramics and design. In addition to contributions in fine art, Andrew dove into the realm of television and media production, working for many years as an Art Director and animator. His passion for art and education eventually led him back to academia, where he now shares his expertise as a teacher of art and design. Andrew’s award winning work has been recognized extensively, through juried exhibitions and performances. Particularly notable are his large-scale murals, which have become destinations in the urban landscape. In addition to his studio practice, Andrew engages in live art happenings, collaborating with musicians and artists to create immersive multisensory experiences.
