I spent a lot of time looking at stained glass windows. I grew up looking at skateboard and lowrider magazines. I threw ninja throwing stars and watched the Simpsons. As a kid I had so many cool illustrations to pull from.
Experimentation
Back in the day I would sometimes use spray paint and then belt sand and distress the canvas. I really have always loved the process of making. Everything is an experiment. Elephants can morph into gas pumps. Brain-spiders climb on webs of power lines.
