There were two parts to this project. First there was an exterior mural on a panel in the entry way as well as a second mural on the entryway stairs. Doing a mural on stairs is a unique challenge. The advantage is that I could work out of my home studio and install the panels upon completion. This one is actually one of my favorite projects to date. The exterior image is super funky and demands attention. I also liked the idea of the viewer going from underground to the heavens as they walk up the stairs.
On the move
Today, the exterior panel has found a new home and only the art on the stairs remains. It was only up for a short bit but his installation was probably my favorite to date. It was small and hard to find and just weird.
